Authorities: Man Lures Pre-Teen Girl To Have Sex After Meeting Online

Samuel Brent Robertson was arrested in Ladera Ranch Tuesday night on suspicion of child molestation and kidnapping.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies say Robertson, of Newport Beach, met a girl under the age of 13 on a social networking site in October.

After gaining her trust, the two started exchanging text messages and after a few weeks, they arranged to meet.

Deputies say Robertson picked her up from her middle school and drove her to Newport Beach where he allegedly sexually assaulted her and then drove her back home.

The two apparently continued to talk through text messages and had planned to meet Tuesday night at a park in Ladera Ranch but before they met, the girl's mother discovered their conversations and notified authorities.
