Fake Teacher Tries to Get 11 Year Old in Car

At around 8:55 a.m. Thursday, a woman dropped off her 11 year old grandson at a school bus stop on Crown Valley Parkway, south of Sea Island Drive and waited in her car nearby until the bus could come to pick up the boy for school.

About five minutes later, a man drove by in a black 4 door Mercedes sedan, did a U-turn, and pulled up in front of the boy sitting at the bus stop, Orange County Sheriff's Department officials said.

The man then asked the boy if he could give him a ride.

The boy immediately ran to his grandmother's car and told her what happened.

The boy's grandmother got out of her car and confronted the man, who told her he was a teacher and thought the boy might need ride, said sheriff's department officials.

(...) Deputies describe the suspect a white male between 50 and 60 years old with receding combed-over short brown and grey hair. He was wearing a dark green short-sleeved polo shirt at the time of the incident.

The vehicle was a 1998-2000 model black 4 door Mercedes with faded black paint and unknown an unknown license plate number.
