Missing 15 Year Old Upland Girl May Be In Venice Beach

A desperate plea is being made Monday night by a Missouri woman who is trying to find her 15 year old niece who may have run away to Venice Beach with a 20 year old man.

Susan Ulrey says her niece, Allyson Heffernan of Upland, left a note to her mother more than a week ago saying she was going far away.

The family has posted flyers in Upland and Venice, reported her missing to Upland police and also to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The man Allyson Heffernan's family believes she is with is 20 year old Jonathan Thompson. The family had recently obtained a restraining order against him to stay away from the girl.

Allyson's family believes the two may be in Venice Beach because friends of Thompson say they is where they were going.
