Fontana Company Recalls Nearly 300,000 Eggs Linked to Salmonella Scare

A company in Fontana is recalling nearly 300,000 eggs from Iowa over fears they're contaminated with salmonella.

Moark LLC of Fontana said Sunday that they're recalling 24,300 dozen eggs produced by Hillandale Farms of Iowa and sold in Southern California and Las Vegas.

On Saturday, Luberski Inc. of Fullerton informed federal officials Saturday that it would recall eggs distributed to food wholesalers, retail centers and food service companies in California and Nevada.

The locally distributed brands recalled this weekend include: Albertsons, Yucaipa Valley, Farmer's Gems, Mountain Dairy, Alta Dena Dairy, Driftwood Dairy, Hidden Villa Ranch and Challenge Dairy.
