Search Continues for Man Missing in the Waters Off Catalina Island

U.S. Coast Guard officials say Frank Cipriano was aboard the vessel "Indecent Proposal" at around 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning when he took the boat's dinghy to Eagle Reef approximately one mile from where the boat was anchored.

The Indecent Proposal is anchored in Cherry Cove, and the dingy was found one mile off Eagle Reef.

Cipriano was not found on or near either vessel.

Two Coast Guard cutters are continuing the search that spanned most of Sunday into the night.

Coast Guard officials say Cipriano is approximately 160 pounds and was wearing a polo T-shirt and black board-shorts.
