Representatives from Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles will be on hand to educate guests about their after-school programs and community efforts. Ten percent of all sales will benefit Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles and its work inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.

Over forty EILEEN FISHER retail locations across the United States will host events to benefit local Girls Inc. organizations. The day celebrates 25 years of EILEEN FISHER design and kicks off the fall season with Girls Incorporated as its charitable partner.

The September 26 Shopping Day is the continuation of the relationship between the organization and EILEEN FISHER, which includes the launch of the Girls Inc. Outlet Store on eBay in fall 2008. When the company founder and Chief Creative Officer, Eileen Fisher, first encountered the Girls Inc. mission, "it resonated with me instantly," she said. "It is vital to encourage these traits in all girls and to encourage girls to bring their full selves to everything they do."

"Our programs, provides girls with the tools to make the best choices in life, assert their rights, and become empowered around academic, economic and social issues," said Kathryn Seiffert, Executive Director, Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles.

"Girls Inc. is honored to partner with Eileen Fisher and her company as they celebrate their 25th anniversary," said Girls Inc. national President & CEO, Joyce M. Roche. "Eileen's success as the founder of a company committed to the unique needs and spirit of women and the importance of social responsibility make her a powerful role model. We share a dedication to creating a world that nurtures creativity and entrepreneurship and where women and girls have the strength, opportunities, and confidence to reach for and build their dreams."
