Linda Kreter, President and CEO of parent company WiseHealth, says the goal of WiseMil.com is to "provide intuitive, user-friendly tools to enhance the quality of life for military families. Robust resources exist for the service member -- but the family also serves. WiseMil promotes family resilience through multi-channel communication and broader community connection, especially among Guard and Reserve personnel who are often remote from unit installations."

WiseMil.com development drew heavily from focus groups with military families who readily defined what they needed most. "In meeting after meeting, we heard that casual, consistent communication helped to bridge the emotional distance between family members," explains Ms. Kreter. No other company today provides the virtual world experience, individual and family social networking, unit/command direct linkage, text-message alerts, geo-specific resources or extensive interactivity. WiseMil.com also gives commands the capability to deliver unique content to a single user, if desired, greatly assisting special populations such as Exceptional Families and Wounded Warriors in transition.

Stressed with unprecedented multiple deployments, service members and families often cope with invisible injuries (PTSD and TBI) and reintegration into "normalcy" upon the member's return, requiring exceptional 21(st )century support. Keeping military families stronger on the home-front reduces the incidence of suicide and domestic neglect/violence, and fosters family cohesion, all critical to maintaining our volunteer military force at its best. WiseMil.com is here to help.
