Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Kimberly Unland said early Monday that Pitchess Detention Center had resumed normal operations.

On Sunday, sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker said deputies used "clear out" gas and rubber pellet "sting balls" to stop the fighting.

He said the inmate who was hospitalized had a small puncture wound in his stomach.
