Hundreds of dirty diapers dumped along city streets

Spotting the diapers is easy. Nestled between common trash, they appear along roadsides, one by one, spaced apart is if someone threw each one out of a moving car. And they can be found in the hundreds.

Police think someone's mischief has gone too far. They are now searching for the person or group who is responsible for dumping the diapers -- up to 400 at a time -- several times a week.

Police said in order to charge someone with littering, they have to witness the crime, which has not yet happened.

Neighbors are calling the culprit the "Diaper Bandit" and have watched for as many as three years as soiled diapers suddenly appear on their sidewalks, lawns and driveways.
