The city of Los Angeles has filed a lawsuit against Beverly Hills outdoor advertising company SkyTag, demanding the company pay the city $2,500 for each day it allegedly violated city code.

SkyTag and its president, Michael McNeilly, and 21 property owners who reportedly leased exterior space on the sides of their buildings to McNeilly are named as defendants in court documents filed Friday.

In the lawsuit, the city alleges SkyTag’s signs created traffic hazards, endangered the lives of building tenants, added to the city’s visual clutter and deprived the city of fees and other revenue.
