Jered Weaver signs five-year extension with Angels |

The Angels secured a big part of their present and future on Sunday, signing All-Star starter Jered Weaver to a five-year, $85 million contract, a baseball source confirmed to MLB.com.

The extension will be announced in a news conference Tuesday at Angel Stadium, which includes a full no-trade clause and keeps Weaver in Anaheim through 2016. Weaver, 28, started the All-Star Game in Phoenix this year and is 14-6 with a 2.10 ERA, which leads the American League.
