The levels, which are 5,000 times below levels of concern set by the FDA, are similar to levels found in Washington.
Federal officials are assuring consumers that they will continue nationwide monitoring of milk and drinking water.
The U.S. has already halted imports of dairy products and produce from Japan after samples tested positive for radiation last week. Some products, such as seafood, are still being sold despite high levels of radiation in sea water off the island.
Small traces of radiation were detected at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro last week when a marine clerk reported unusual activity in the radiation readings on containers that arrived over the weekend from Japan. That clerk did not want to be identified.
Truck drivers picking up shipments say they're worried that no precautions have been put in place.
