Camera Surveillance Employee Leads Police to Four Arrests

A Redlands surveillance camera operator helped bust two crimes while on the job, police said Wednesday.

According to a statement from Redlands Police spokesman Carl Baker, the police department employee observed two people behind a bar around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Orange Street using drugs and immediately alerted dispatchers.

Ryan Furtado, 22, and Holly Jo Shankland, 21, were arrested for drug possession after officers arrived to find them trying to dispose of a baggie of cocaine.
